From the New York Auto Show: BMW adding Rhapsody and Audible to App Roster

Just found this new news from the New York Auto Show (that's a lot of the word "new" in one sentence! )

What amazes me is that they continue to add new Apps but haven't fixed the old ones yet.

I use Pandora a lot, but I can't use it through BMW Apps because the Pandora App needs an update to use with BMW Apps.

MOG works, but the interface is almost unusable. You can't create and access playlists on MOG the same way that you can create them with the iPhone MP3 Player. Then if you want to store music on your Phone through MOG, you'll need a lot of memory. I only have the 8gig iPhone 4S, and most of my memory is already taken up by the music I have stored on it already.

Then there's the fact that the USB connection doesn't work with most of the Apple iPhones and iPods anyways. This is the real problem. BMW Apps needs to be used through the USB cable. I keep getting disconnected, which forces me to never use the USB cable with the USB port in the M5. So I have to use Bluetooth all the time.

I do like using Pandora with Bluetooth in the M5, maybe I'll have to give Rhapsody and Audible a try now, but I still won't be able to use them with the USB cable and BMW Apps as meant to be used. I'll be upgrading to the iPhone 5 in July most likely as the power button on my 4S is broken and I can't turn my screen off. Can't upgrade til July, stupid contracts! Lol! So maybe I won't have the same disconnectivity issues with the new iPhone5 cable.

1st World Problems, I know! LOL!

Also this is my 1,000th POST!!! Woot! Glad to be part of the Bimmerpost community!

When apps are added - do they need to be updated or they automatically show up?

Another question for the experts: Does MOG now switch seemlessly from the Connected App? or do you have to select the MOG app instead of the connected app when docking the phone with the car?
