Question Comp Package 0-300 Video

Is there an accurate 0-300 video for the competition package? Just trying to see how a CP M5 compares to the M3. The new M3 seems like it is pulling really hard (and equal) all the way to 240 kmh, if it traps same as M5 for 1/4 mile, that will be the first time an M3 is as fast as an M5. I wonder if the CP is any better.

What's the real life figures for 150, 180, 210, and 240 kmh for the M5? Is 1/4 mile 11.8s all around for the CP cars?

It's not going to be even close to the regular M5 much less a CP in terms of trap speed and any from a roll situation . I'm talking bus lengths by 300km/hr . My M6 CP did an 11.6 @ 127 by Vbox bone stock .

Well, I'm comparing the videos of both cars (unfortunately I only have the regular M5 in youtube), and simply comparing the seconds from the videos, the performance is identical at 150, 180, 210, and 240 kmh. Only after 240 the M5 pulls ahead.

Impressive
M5 will be more probably 11.8 for trap?

Doing that is incredibly inaccurate, here is my Vbox data , ( what the mags use to test ) it speaks for itself . I repeat it won't even be close from a roll . The M3/4 will avg trap 116-118 tops. FYI this data is from me just pressing the gas no LC used and was traction limited obviously .

I don't think there'll be such a drastic difference between the M5 and the M6

That is pretty impressive. I wish someone already did this for the M3.

We have seen 11.6 for ET on stock M5's too but yes 11.8 is a reasonable avg with the M5 having a slightly lower trap speed . 60-130 mph which is the best indicator of a cars straight line performance is very telling . My M6 CP stock did it in 8.15 sec . A stock M5 does it in the high 8's I would expect the M4 given it's HP (over 80 mph , HP and aero not weight is the prime det of speed ) to do it in the 10 sec range . Almost 2 seconds 60-130 is bus lengths .

The OP from the UAE said he will post Vbox data on Sunday so you will see I'm right soon .

Here's the Vbox results for the M3 DCT

http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...postcount=1253

He did a 12,2s 119MPH (somewhere in the deserts of UAE at 27deg C)

0-1000m in 22.0s (just 1/10th shy of the claimed 21.9s time)

It's not that far away from a non CP M5?

While we do not have 60-130MPH times posted from his run. But he did 90km/h to 200km/h (a 110km/h gap) in 9,8s.

10s 60-130MPH seems about right.

Looking at his Vbox data it's def over 10 seconds as the car starts slowing considerably over 200 km/h. It's fast don't get me wrong but not M5 fast and certainly not close to M5 cp fast or M6 fast . You quoted the slowest 0-200 km/hr time that exists for the regular M5 at 13 flat while most have been 11.7-12 seconds
