Bought gloss black vinyl wrap film to wrap my cars top, and I came up this, saved me some money and looks pretty good. And the kidney can take apart to black part and chrome part. Sorry for the pic quality, taken by my ipad mini. i'll post more clear pic and some other stuff I did later

Nice move. I had my vinyl shop do the same for me... Approximately $50... But i did all the removing and reinstalling. Looks very legitimate.

Very Nice! Interested in hearing step by step process of the chrome door handle inserts when you get a chance.

Has anyone done white vinyl or white plasti dip on the handle chrome on a white car? The black just doesn't look right to me on Alpine white.

clean up first and cut a piece can fit the part, then put on and use the hairdryer to heat up the film, its gonna be really soft, find a card like a credit car or any use the corner to push film in the gap, and cut rest off.. Dont know if this can help

I tried this. Bought a piece of white vinyl online and did a quick test. It did not match AW in color exactly...but it did look good. I also tested the black, and IMO I don't think it looks right either. So, I am going IND painted to get a perfect match or possibly just keeping the hint of chrome.

I am going to try some vinyl. Local shop has a couple different "whites". I will see if one is close enough. The handle exchange is just too much of a bother for such a small change.

If you get something that is a close match, please post!
