Alpine White M5 Delivered. Mounted HRE wheels

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Took delivery of my M5 yesterday. Couldn't be more pleased. I upgraded from a 2012 550xi (Dinan Stage 4) and even with the similar power the M5 feels significantly faster.

I'm also very impressed with the new navigation system and some of the small tweaks throughout the cabin. The Sakhir Orange is stunning in person. My only complaint is the Piano Black. I'm not sold on the combination. I may look to swap someone for Aluminum Trace at some point.

I opted for everything except Night Vision (had it on the outgoing car and didn't use it much) and Rear Entertainment.

Now I'm trying to decide if I keep the stock 343M wheels or put my 20" HRE P40SC wheels on the car.

Some pics attached.

I installed the IND painted reflectors and side markers yesterday. Getting rid of the chrome really transforms the look of the car in my opinion.

I also decided to put the HRE's on. I think they look amazing and really offset the beautiful brake calipers.

Looks good, but don't you lose tire width using the 550 wheels or are these a new set of HRE wheels you bought just for the M5?

My wheels are the same dimensions as the stock M5 wheels though the offset is slightly different. BMW shipped the car with wider rubber, which I just duplicated.

So for all intents and purposes it is the same. No loss in width.

Yeah, it does. Haven't been too bothered by it yet but will be investigating spacers. Or possibly going back to stock.

@Trip: No plans currently. I'm pretty content with the suspension the way it is, and fortunately I can clear the entrance to and incline within my garage. I couldn't with my lowered 550.

Keep those HRE's on! You'll take a bath selling them, they look better than stock, and you can sell your stock M5 wheels to someone with a normal F10.

Here are some additional photos. Thanks to IND for the parts and my friends Joe, Matt, and Logan at Performance Technic in Pleasanton for the hospitality.

What are the offsets and specs on the HRE's? You are using the stock tires right? 265x35x20 and 295x30x20?

Congrats on the ride, and on the beautiful set of wheels. Some spacers, and perhaps some beefier tires. Maybe 305's? I would make those wheels pop a lot more.

Still looks great though

I actually don't know. They were ordered for my previous vehicle, a 550xi, which has different offsets.

Anybody have a good source for spacers? H&R?

Ok thanks for the reply---- as for spacers any reputable tuner in your can source H&R spacers. Or you can go direct via their website I think.

Im sizing up some concave 20 inch P44SC's right--- I think they will look great on the F10 with the right offsets.
