BMS tune & regular service?

Just a quick question for the community, Do you guy take your BMS tune out when bringing the vehicle in for regular maintenance ie. 15,000 miles oil change or do you take it out every time. I'm 2K miles out from oil change so I just want to know, thank you much.

The acceleration after 3K rpm is quiet good, feels like I'm in a corvette sorta.

Yeah I took it off... Not worth even remotely risking voiding the warranty on a 40k+ engine if you get some stickler of a service guy.

Legit takes 30 minutes and after you do it a few times it'll continue to decrease.

Are these tunes detectable once taken off or Do they leave an electronic footprint?

They MIGHT be able to dig around the ECU and logs enough to see the car is under boosting [thats what the BMS does via the TMAP sensors forces the car to ask for more boost] but they'd have no way to prove you did anything the way a tune that overwrites everything, or like on the 335i where the JB4 was plugged directly into the ECU throwing tuner codes.

I'm planing on leaving mine own I have a connection, and for oil changes I trust he wouldn't flag me (or I'm hoping)... But I just wouldn't leave a 500 dollar part on that has the capability of voiding a 40k engine if someone flagged it...

It legit took 1 hr the first time and I'm down to 30 minutes to get it back on.

Just remember these aren't real "tunes" that are making use of timing, etc. and all the variables going on... Its basically a crude safe [given you stay in the recommended range] way to increase power... Deviating from Terry's settings or other tuner companies settings on these piggybacks will cause problems because none of it is accounting for timing, A/F ratios etc. and the more boost you up the leaner it'll run and the more these variables will be effected.

So I took my car in for the annual services last week and suspension clunk repair and after everything was done, the SA told me that he saw a tuner box connected to the car. I ask is there an issue and he said no people brings in M car with tuner module all the time and they do not make any note about it. I guess is depends on if the dealer want to makes money or not.
