Just installed Schnitzer springs and exhaust

For all those in the UK who suffer the clonk and think the sound could be better but don't know the solution.

Well there is one but let me tell tell you first that the modification which BMW does will not eradicate it 100%. It merely improves it. The modification on my car was done early last year.

I stuck with it for a year but i was getting more and more frustrated with both issues.

So I shelled out the money and installed Schnitzer springs and the new twin 90mm exhaust (export version).

Omg the transformation is beyond words. 25mm lower. Looks amazing on side view. No more clonk, no more body roll on turns and no nose dive on braking.

On top of that the sound is mind blowing.

Yes it does. The springs transforms the car completely. I just wished I had done it last year.

The twin sport trim exhaust however was launched a couple of months ago. I wasn't keen on the other trim which was a one piece rectangular style. That would have made the car look like a 550i from rear view. Hence the delay of getting the changes done.

Now I am 100% happy. Sounds better then a competition pack and handling is better also in my opinion.

I heard the akra exhaust but schnitzer is far better and way less in costs.

Plus for the one piece mingin rectangular style you need the silly priced rear diffuser. Funny how schnitzer design these but Remus makes them. Enjoy

Can you pls elaborate on.the handling with the new springs? Is the suspension and plantedness of the carsimilar to the M5 comp, the comfort similar to the sport of the M5 non comp? Are they slightly too firm?

The comfort is still the same as before on comfort setting on EDC. The springs have not changed the stiffness.

The handling is way better. The car is like driving on rails. No body roll or nose dive. Most importantly no clonk.

So its planted on the road much better. Steering feels better also. I would say same as comp pack now.

EDC works same as before. Comfort, sport, sport plus

I'm running h&r and this looks about the same, maybe they need time to settle and it's 25mm at the front and 20mm at the rear for schnitzer?????!!!

Front is 25-30mm and rear is 20-25mm. They don't settle as they are stress-relieved in production, so what you see is what you get
