The AMS downpipes are a blast! I wish we could ship the iND M5 around the US for Beast owners to test drive it. They would all have downpipes after a drive

That seems odd to me. Why would you recommend microcats with your catted downpipes? I got the distinct impression from those SuperSprint replies that they would only sell their microcats to customers who had purchased downpipes from them. Are there other microcats on the market that attach to the downpipes in the same manner as the SuperSprint microcats?

So far no CEL at 100 miles and only time will tell. On a side note, Nate do you offer cable extenders for the 2nd O2 sensor as the location puts it farther downstream and a little tight on the stock cable? As for the rest of you guys, this is by far the best engineered piece of tuning hardware I have purchased in the last 10 years and this is my 3rd tuned M6. I cannot emphasize what a difference the downpipes make, and I only wish this was the first piece I installed to be able to isolate the performance and sound changes independently. It isn't cheap but then again a $135k M6 and $8k Akra exhaust are not either.

Can u provide some feedback on Akrapovic sound post catted downpipe install? I bet that finally opens up the exotic Akra sound.

Any misfires?

Clearly the downpipes open up the exhaust. Going to get my son to video the car at takeoff. If you want a short sound clip at park pm me with your email and I will send it. Basically it is 20-30% louder and way more aggressive but still exotic around town with very minimal drone.

Sorry no misfires or rough idle. And a noticeable push in performance in 2nd and 3rd

Sorry guys, but I have not kept up on just who is everybody using for the installation of the DP's and how long is it taking to do this?? Typical charge?

Went to iND last week and had AMS catless downpipes installed. Hands down the best mod for M5. I had e-race and gruppe m intake and never really felt power difference but with these down pipes there is no mistaking a significant gain in power. Also turbo lag is eliminated. That slight hesitation you get in 1st gear is gone and 2nd and 3rd gear pulls are insane.

Cold start is loud but hopefully we can eliminate that with a ess tune soon. Driving around town you will turn alot of heads. It's sounds amazing and I never want to stop driving. Best mod I ever did even though my neighbors disagree strongly haha thanks to Nate and everyone at iND for hooking me up.

I bet my neighbors are thinking about selling.... They already called the cops about the full E-Race.

My wife asked if the tune could turn off cold start as it rattles the house.. It really isn't needed here in Hawaii anyway.

Not sure if you got my PM. I had IND ship them to metro Detroit and my shop did the install. My mechanic is amazing, one of the best, a former NASCAR mechanic and engine builder and he even used to build one off exhaust systems so this was a piece of cake for him. Still to do it right takes about 4-5hours. IND should be a little faster since they do this more often. Many heat shields and support brackets to remove and reinstall. Also recommend purchasing a pair of BOSCH 15167 rear O2 sensors since the factory ones are too short. You can also pay the dealer twice as much and buy the factory 650i sensors which are exactly the same as the BOSCH.
