M5 at Carolina Motorsports Park

EDIT: Video is up. Link is here and below:
https://vimeo.com/123546838

I took my M5 to the track on Saturday, to Carolina Motorsports Park, in Kershaw, SC. It's kind of my home track, I've been there so often, but the first time with the M5. It was sponsored by http://gmpperformance.com/

The M5 was impressive on track. Despite the very noticeable weight, the car performed and handled very well despite no comp pack or CCF brakes. Being the first time with the M5, I stayed reserved but did use MDM mode and played with using the throttle to get the car around some turns. But no actual drifts.

I was among the fastest in my run group, save for some VERY fast Vettes. I was told by a track rat in an e92 M3 that she (yes!) could not catch me running as hard as she could. It was also fun hitting 125 down a straight versus 85 max when following a Miata. Yet I could hang with them in the corners, and run away the next straight. I am still working on the videos and will post them when complete.

Note GMP did flush the brake fluid with SRF. I had no brake fade what-so-ever, and CMP is known as very hard on brakes as well as tires.
Here is a pic for now.

And below is a pic at GMP when I got my track inspection done. My M5 was with interesting company of German muscle, all white with black rims.

Here is a visdeo: https://vimeo.com/123546838

I passed two Vettes, a Camaro, and a Lotus in this session. Not sure why the Vettes seemed slow. I later turned a 1:54. Although most laps seemed to be 1:56 - 1:58. Must have been the cooler temps in the morning session, and conserving the tires more in the later sessions.
