I'll consider M5 with AWD heavily over the X5/6M.
I'd love to see being able turning the AWD off/on with a push of a button. Going to hold out for a new M5 before I commit to upgrade the '13 X5M.

I have a wish list item for the next gen M5. Bmw should make the from seats thinner. Right now they are so thick that they eat into the rear passenger leg room. They are super comfy though. However, given use of new materials, like in Volvo XC90, seats can be made thinner yet equally comfortable.
BMW - please please do that!

i kind of like the "thick" seats, the rear seat leg room notwithstanding, as it gives it the solid "look" and feels firm but yet very comfy. Although i must say.... when i buy a car my first consideration as far as seating goes is the leg room and comfort factor for me as the driver....the rear seat is secondary..., Im 6'4 and 225 pounds so i need a good solid seat with serious comfort features. My wife has a MB 230 compressor sport model....and even though i can fit in the front seat with the seat all the way back...it is still not comfortable. my .02 worth.
