Bumper edge scratched

Hello,

I got the car 3 months ago and been enjoying it really well. But today while backing out the car from driveway, I accidently hit the bumper on sidewalk (elevated corner) . Even though the damage is really small, it is really noticeable on Sakhir Orange. I would like to know if I should have the body shop repair it or try DIY kits.

Any suggestions with possible cost estimate range?

Thanks,
SD

it sits a low non eye level area- a body shop can do a good job with R and R and spot spray that easily.

I looked at some of the lips but most of them are mounted on the front of the bumper, not on the side (closer to wheel). Do you know of any out there and possibly with pics.

Thanks

Its body shop lingo, Remove and Replace, but in this case I would substitute Replace with Repair.

Vic55,

Do you suggest getting it fixed from dealership or from local body shops such as Maaco etc?

Thanks

It depends... does your dealership have a certified body shop on site or is it outsourced? I dont have any experience with larger chain body shops like Maaco. I normally would dig around in your area and check by word of mouth. Im sure your local dealer has a preferred vendor.

Its a minor repair job like I had mentioned before and it wont require a full respray (this is where your shop is really important).

That looks sexy . The only trouble for me is that I drive on NYC roads and anyone over here can tell how we have to be very cautious of road conditions (Pot holes, bumps etc)
