Drivetrain malfunction
Have you guys ever received a drivetrain malfunction error? I've driven the car about 1,300 miles and I have now received the error three times with the third happening today. The dealership was unable to diagnose the exact cause the past two times I brought the car in for service. Each time they said 9 out of 10 times it is software related. I already have an appointment scheduled tomorrow for the break-in service so I'm hoping they can look into it again, but I'm not that confident it will get fixed given my last two experiences. I also noticed when the error occurs I experience inconsistent power loss and the transmission goes in and out of neutral likes it is having trouble finding a gear, which is very unsettling when coming up a hill or driving on a highway. Any thoughts as to what may be causing this error?

Man...I know it's cliché to say it...but there are a bunch of threads on this type of error.

Thanks for sharing. I did read those before, but it didn't seem like anyone experienced the power loss, the transmission issues, and the frequency of the error so soon after getting the car.

Yea, it's only been 3 weeks. I have pictures, but no video. I will try getting a video next time.

Has never happened with mine. Definitely not normal - something's wrong with your car. Likely is software related as they're saying. They should be able to read codes to determine what's wrong.

DCT seems to shift into neutral under hard accelleration
After my vehicle sits overnight in temperatures below 40F, I am not able to accelerate aggressively for the first 25 minutes of driving. If I do try to accelerate aggressively within the first 25 minutes, my vehicle seems to shift into neutral and indicates a "drive train error...full power not available". After driving at highway speeds for 30+ minutes, I don't recall this error ever happening. I will pay close attention to times and temps over the next couple weeks and then chime back in again.

The way I read your post, your driving the hard from the get go. Which is a big no no.
These cars, well all cars really, need to warm up to operating temperatures before you start pushing them. Once the oil gauge needle starts to move, then you can start to push the car. If it's cold outside then it's going to take longer for things to warm up, like coolant, engine oil, gearbox oil, etc. |

Yeah agree these motors don't take kindly to being opened up too soon, a sure way of getting bearing failure very soon and the warnings could be early indications.
