New Member Intro, looking for an f10 M5

Hey guys and gals,

New member here. In the market for an f10 M5.
Been a long time admirer of these cars and am looking for a new daily driver to replace the Audi. Had an e60 m5 back in 2006 and an e39 M5 before that which is still one of my all time favorites.

Thinking of buying a higher mileage car since this one will get a ton of use. Or maybe assume a lease?

Will check out classified section, but PM me if you have any solid leads.

I suggest you try to find a used 2014 or 2015 M5 since it seems like getting one of those won't be a problem for you. Just make sure it has the options you want, if you care about such things.

Lol, everyone is talking about your cars and the first thing that caught my eye was the Panigale! Nice stable, but it makes me miss my 1199. Since you're willing to have one with high mileage I believe you'll have no problem finding one, but since you also are going to put mileage on it you may want to rethink that and get a CPO. Good luck with your purchase.

Thanks guys. Appreciate the comments. The CS is a special car. Don't have any sound clips handy but the exhaust note is truly sublime. Once the valves open it's other worldly. The car is an event to drive. Perfect balance, handling, stopping power and still fast enough and I love the lines.

However...

The 993 is my favorite by a WIDE margin. The car is a beast. no other way to describe it. still one of the fastest cars I've ever driven. It pulls hard in every gear, and is a timeless design. RUF's powerband is so wide. No peakiness at all. Other tuners offer higher peak hp, but RUF's 500 ponies are available all the time and the car produces more torque than a steam locomotive.

Panigale can beat them all in a straight line :-)

Didn't take long to find the right car!
Decided to take a chance on a new color for me

After only a couple of weeks of ownership I have to say I'm impressed.

I went with the KW HAS adjustable spring kit. Retains the stock shocks and electronic adjustments but fully adjustable ride height. The ride is great. Not harsh at all.

I also went with an eisenmann race exhaust with 90mm tips. Love the sound. Cold start is crazy. My only issue is I leave early for work and wake up all the kids. LOL!!!

I think the front could still use a 1/8 - 1/4'' drop but I'm fanatical about ride height.
