Seat massagers losing strength

Anyone out there use the seat massagers? I use them when on long car trips and it seems now they aren't as strong as they used to be.

Seems like a silly issue to bring to service for but I miss the old days!!

I know... but saying the seat massagers in a M5 don't work is like going up to a condom machine making a purchase and popping one in your mouth and then saying this gum tastes like shit -- that isn't what they were designed for.

active seats are merely meant to randomly adjust pressure points on your rear to guarantee blood flow throughout your lower extremes to reduce driving fatigue.

OP, if you know all this already, and it still isn't working like you remember, I am at a loss.. my car is newer with low miles and continues to work properly. However the feature should be random and not often in its shifts, so its efficacy may be imperceptible...

I couldn't remember the name of the feature so I defaulted to seat massager.

Better than saying "you know that thing that gropes your ***"

I like how it reduces pressure points while driving extended distances.

My only question was that has anyone else noticed that the system being less effective?

I've had the car since summer 2012. I am 200+ so maybe that's what's causing to perform weaker today.

The active seats keep your core muscle group in constant change so they don't get sore on more extended drives. Activate and a sore back feels better and a good back feels great. Extremely nice.

and i was just having fun with you...

curiously how is your leather and underpadding holding up... only thing I could think of is that it has compressed somewhat and so it doesnt feel like it used to.

have you tried riding shotgun and seeing if that seat is normal or changed as well?

I noticed this on my at as well and can barely feel it now after 2.5k miles. How did your passenger experiment go?

Man, my car has been giving me nothing but issues. First bunch of cosmetic issues, then wheel vibration still unresolved, now this.

Well I just sat in the driver and passenger side to check, and the driver side intensity has definitely decreased significantly.

Well it would make sense if it's a few bladders that fill and deflate. Eventually they will stretch. If you wight more than the avg I would bet that this would happen more quickly. ( only assuming it's a bladder type ballon or something)

I would expect this to last much longer than 2.5k miles. Take it back.

Both the active seat for the driver and passenger seat in my car "lost strength" and they just ordered a new pump and bag for both sides that should be coming in any day now!
