Wheel advice needed please

Hi Everyone,

The time has come to change my wheels. I was going for 20's as wheel choice is greater but I think 21's are the way to go.

I have a Sakhir Orange M5 and I am trying to achieve the lowered stance look. The car is now lowered on KW HAS spring kit.

My question is if I go for 9 x 20 front and 11 x 20 rear what would be the best offset and best tyre size to go for to get the stretch look but also at the same time not use grip on the car.

Secondly if I go for 21's what would be the best offset and tyre size for this size of wheel.

Here are pics. First/second pics are Ferrada in 20's (which finish do you think will suit the car better) and the third pic is TSW in 21's. The last pic is the kind of look that I am looking for but not such an aggressive offset.

All advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would do 20x9 et 17 with 265/35
20x11 et 31 rear with 305/30

Will I get any stretch on the tyre with those sizes?

Wow those are my exact specs haha.

Fronts aren't stretched at all. Rears are mildly stretched.

OP you'd need at least 10" fronts to have some kind of stretch on 265's.

I'm on 21" (9.5" Front 11" Rear) but not sure of the offsets. As far as tires, 305 Rears and 265 Front Vredesteins.

I had a set of HRE with 20x10 et 30 front and 20x11 et 31 rear and worked well on my M5. But I went with 275/35 and 305/30 setup.

I'm looking at offsets and wheel options all my research so far would suggest if you want to fill the arches to the max and run 305's depending on rear camber you'll be et 32 to perhaps even mid to high 20's if you look at stock wheels then 15mm rear spacers is about as aggressive as 305's on a 10.5 ET 26 for an 11 that's ET 31-32 BUT on the 11 a little more room with a 305, a lot run ET 30,31 and as much as 25

Interestingly the tyre is notably wider on stock rims, a 10" rim is circa 11" wide outer rim to outer rim or just under and the 295 is 11.9 according to Michelin when fitted on a 10.5 rim

If I put a flat edge on the rear wheel I can measure 8-10mm to the rim (bulge). Knowing exactly where your rim edge is easy but stretch or bulge has a notable impact

Thank you so much for the info. It has really helped me.

Definitely the Ferrada wheels and definitely 21". You'll regret going for 20", I know I did
