Tyre sizes

Hmmm

I am looking at 305/30/20 rear on 11.5" rims and 275/35/20 on 10" rims front, but also wonder if 285/35/20 might be interesting on 10" rims up front. Kill understeer for good !?

That might induce oversteer. Also I wouldn't like the feel of that big of tire up front. Might add to the weight of steering.

It's also gonna look funky aesthetically. You'll be stretched out back and meaty up front.

Yeah if you do 285 up front drop down to a 30 sidewall to not upset the rolling diameter. On 20's you should be in luck and be able to find a 285/30 and 305/30 match. Will need a 10 inch front and 11 inch rear for that.

I had 285 on my 21's but went down to 265. I did not like the tramiline and the rolling diameter was off enough that at 1xx speeds it messed with the traction control. In a 21 size there are no 285/25's to match with the 305/25's so I went to a 265/30 for Michelin super sports. Pirelli had a 275/30/21, but I was not about to go Pirelli.

Unfortunatley the 285 at 30 profile is 7.25mm smaller and at 35 is 7mm bigger in radius. I think 305 and 275 makes sense as it's a 3mm height and diameter increase only
