Anyone know what this indicator light means?

it has been coming on/off for a week now & according to the manual it says "Engine functions in Canadian models". I got this car from a CA dealer & I live in the US so not sure how Canada plays a part in this lol... any thoughts are greatly appreciated!

That is the CEL (check engine light).

CEL is a very general indicator. The car needs to be hooked up to diagnosis and read out by a dealer. That will tell them the exact error that's producing the CEL light.

It could be something as simple as a bad O2 sensor, or something more serious. Any modifications made to the car? How many miles on the ODO?

Probably just a faulty O2 sensor. Have BMW check it out.

Is your gas cap loose? That can set off the CEL as well.
