I decided to get loud... Rotiform BLQ-T
Rotiform BLQ-T Forged Mono II 21x9.5 / 21x11 Brushed Base / Prismatic Anodized Grape Topcoat Should be arriving Friday. Wanted something loud and aggressive as it seems like most M5's are running fairly conservative wheels. With these, they should be a darker shade of purple when not in direct light, and then when light hits them, the brushed base will show through and brighten them up to the color seen in the photo. We'll do a full photoshoot and possibly a video once they're on the car. Many are familiar with the BLQ, which has been out for quite some time. These are the newer BLQ-T, which is the directional version of the wheel. Further, most of these are typically a flatter face profile with a lip in a three piece, whereas opted for the Mono II with hidden hardware so that it appears to be a monoblock but has more Concave in the rear. Truthfully, my goal with this set was to create a love it or hate it set. So if you love it, great! If you hate it, my plan worked. -James

Off to a good start. One person likes them and another hates them.

VFF-103's look sick on your ride; will be hard to top that but I'll reserve judgment until you show us some pix.

The V-FF 103 have been a great wheel. They fit well and have great concave on the back. But when you look at them, it's just another M5 on dark 21" wheels. That was the idea behind this was to just get something loud and obnoxious for a bit. I've always wanted to do a crazy purple finish as well.
The advantage I have as well is I did the barrels in black, so to refinish them, I just have to have the outers done, and MHT / Rotiform can probably have them refinished in any other color I want within 2 weeks if I decide to change. That said, I doubt I'll change them again any time soon. -James

The Rotiform are the same size. I did 5mm more aggressive on the offset front and rear, but that won't change the look too much. -James

I myself have dark wheels on my SSII. How many SSII with dark wheels have I seen around my area (which is the greater LA and Ventura counties) in the past 5 years? Maybe just ONE. How many have I seen on this forum? Maybe 5 or 6. This tunnel vision makes you want to be more unique and be different from the others... when in fact you already are! It also makes you go to extreme measures, which I think it's where you are at right now. |

It's not just SSII. The vast majority of M5's are running fairly bland wheels in fairly bland fitment. Just want to mix it up a bit.
I'm in the performance parts industry. I spend all day every day looking at various sports cars and exotics with various wheels on them. In our area, there's only a few M5's that even have aftermarket wheels on them. Most of them are 100% bone stock cars. -James

^Rotiform just posted a short video. You can see the amount of change in the color as they rotate and the light hits them from various angles. Can't wait! They got postponed to Monday, but I'll get photos up as soon as they're on the car. -James

They're purple. It seems as if various monitors have various brightness settings. On my iPhone, they're purple. At work, I have dual monitors. On my left monitor, they're slightly brighter than the iPhone. On my right monitor, they're brighter than the left.
Either way, color selected from Prismatic Powders was Anodized Grape under the purple section. In limited lighting, they're a darker purple. The more light hits them, the brighter they'll get as the brushed base shines through the Anodized Grape top coat. -James

In the UK purple is associated with elderly ladies, so proud Pinks not so bad (nothing wrong with old Ladies by the way)
I really like the battleship grey M5 on the forum with aggressive offset red ADV.1's I think If I was choosing a colour other than black with SSII I'd be drawn to the gunmetal blues But great for the more conservative amongst us we just watch and wait - Good on you |

Yes, they are loud, but i don't get this two piece design that's supposed to look like a monobloc. Why not make a proper monobloc, it be much lighter than the heavy two piece design.
