I had a porsche turbo and it was boring because I wasn't using a clutch. Every day, I find the M5 very fun to drive. If I wanted an automatic, I would've bought an accord

6spds command a higher price because less than 10% were manuals. Supply and demand.

Hold price #savethemanuals! I have a 2013 as well, I'm the original owner an I went for manual for the very same reason! Just more fun to drive!! Nothing wrong with dct, but in a world where everything is moving away from manual to dct or electric the value will go up for true motor heads just like the above user said it's all about supply An demand! Best of luck with sale!

Resurrecting this thread. I've listed my M5 with a local boutique dealer and they've done lot's of photos, etc. The manual transmission is one of 577 and in addition this car has every option offered in 2013 including night vision and rear entertainment. Link is below and I am willing to listen to reasonable offers.

I agree. The secondary "enthusiast market" is completely different than original buyer market.

Also, it's 577 manual cars total not just in 2013.

This is what really gets me, and is why I have an issue with selling the car for the same price as a DCT.

The reality is, in 30 years (which is a long time from now, I realize that), the F10 M5 that rolls across the block at Barrett Jackson and brings huge money is going to be a 6MT. You can bank on it.

Part of me is tempted to put the car away for a few decades. I realize that seems crazy, but it really is the last of the manual transmission super sedans, and I truly believe that it is going to be a special car someday.

I also recognize today is not that day, but the tension between now and in the future weighs on me a bit. I know what I have. I know it will be sought after in a BIG way in the future. I also know the right person will appreciate it now. It's all about finding a happy middle ground, and I am willing to listen if someone is seriously interested. In the meantime, I am happy holding onto it, maybe forever!

I think that's a great idea, however in order to maximize your 'return' if we would call it that, you would want to have a LCI car. I may just be saying this because I held out for a LCI car myself, but do remember that in thirty years from now, the market will be well aware of all the potential configuration options and a selective buyer will have their option from 2013-2016, so they may want the most recent version possible.

Great idea, but then I would have to go find one of those super rare, well kept, well equipped 6MT cars and pay a premium! lol

April 2018, I purchased a 2016 6MT w/ 3K miles for $73K from the dealership.

Not agreeing or disagreeing.....6MT carry a premium for those who want it.

Yes, they made a huge difference. Way less dust too. Highly recommend.

Just so everyone knows I've been listening. I lowered the price $3,000 and am willing to listen to serious offers.

Smart move. Sweet spot on this car for private sale – assuming you have all service records, given that you are not original owner – is probably around $43.5K.

GLWS!

Mine is totally stock, but I met with another member yesterday who has DP's and a tune and I've gotta say, the car sounds amazing!

Bringing some closure to this long debate, sold and closed today for 41K. Sounds like the new owner is an enthusiast and really excited.

I took his first offer as I was reasonably motivated to get it sold, but it probably would have brought a couple thousand more on BaT or with some back and forth. That said, I am very happy it's going to a good home and I'll miss it a lot! Best car I've ever owned, and its a long list.

It's just too bad WickedBMW is banned and not here to see it sold for 8K more than he insisted it was worth. LOL

That's unfortunate - I suggested to keep it when I met you last week but I'm sure the new owner will appreciate both the deal and the car itself. Is it staying locally?

Also, I'm waiting to see the pics of what is coming next 😝
