People don't normally buy one tyre, unless they've had a mishap with 1 they currently have fitted. In either case you would just go out and buy a pair of Michelin PS4s.

I’m due the F10 M5 ‘kick in the nads’ shortly
Tyres, pads and my disks have about 1mm lip This is the bit where you spend £67 million on consumables and start browsing eBay for what entire car you could have bought for the same price. |

This is not directed at you but I keep saying to people buy the best M5 you can as in the long term it will cost you less. One guy on M3 Cutters just bought an M5 with 7 owners and did not get a warranty despite being told again and again to get one, guess what the engine has gone bang. That £25K M5 is now going to cost him £38K |

For me if it has had a lot of owners it means its not been in one owners possession for that long so wont potentially be really well loved and cared for.

I think the M5 is a car with enough grunt that even a few abusive drives could massively impact the car over the long term. If I see lots of owners I’m thinking lots of people have done LC or mapped/unmapped and then got bored. It’s probably not the case but I could quite see it and YouTube doesn’t do much to convince you otherwise.
Having said that I drive very gently but I could quite easily have let the car go after 12mths if it had made financial sense...glad I didn’t, it would have been a mistake. |

I had the number of owners in my mind when I bought it but having looked over it and at the service history I was happy to make the purchase. |

It's a shame that those without an interest feel it necessary to post.
That probably includes me! Last edited by PoolCar; 05-07-2020 at 03:40 PM.. |
