Need Opinions

I just picked up a lease on an M5 through another forum member. Its a year lease. It does not have a comp pack but have comp exhaust. I want it to be a lil bit more louder. Do not wanna spend too much on a new exhaust. The resonators are were already out. I just dropped the car off for mufler detete. They will start on it tomorrow morning. Wondering if thats a good idea or a very bad one.

Could result in considerable drone. Try it and reverse if you dont care for it.

Hey thanks. I also heard that keeping the resonators in stock eliminates the drone? How is the sound on muffler delete. Also i have an option to get a rear section only Eisenmann race muffler from a buddy who is abt to turn his lease.

I have a custom muffler delete. Kept the resonators. I love it and would do it again without hesitation. Deactivate the active sound and drone is very little.

Is that on f10 M5. So you do recommend the put the resonators back on?

Yes on both. As you already have the resonators removed I would suggest you first see how you like it without them. You can always add them later. From what I heard, without the resonators there is a bit more drone and about 10% louder.

Resonators will definitely help with drone. I would go aftermarket. Stock seemed to add some raspiness.

Try without, you may love it. I know the cold start is the most annoying.

hahaha ... Thanks for the compliment. I am still amazed every time I drive it.

As for price, I'm sure m6beast could answer that. As you know, any product you buy from him is a work of art and a quality product. Hopefully the price is competitive to other exhausts on the market.

Thanks, I've gone through four different setups. This is by far my favorite.

If it's too loud/raspy, swap it out for aftermarket resonators. Made a huge improvement over stock when I went to magnaflow

Reminder to disable the active sound feature as that will make your experience much better. If you don't it will amplify the drone. There are threads on here that explain how to do it. Takes 15 minutes and makes a huge difference IMO.

Also, make sure the shop properly plugs the vacuum lines as otherwise you will experience a loss of power. There is also a very helpful thread on this on here.

Will it affect Bang & Olufsen in any way?

Not sure as I don't have that option.
