I have the 19" BMW winter tire/wheel set with the Pirelli's on at the moment. They have gotten me through as much as 3 to 4 inches of snow and straight up ice/no snow. They have done more than acceptable job in both snow and ice.
I personally think they would handle deeper amounts of snow, but the limiting factor is my concern of damaging the front of the car or anything low hanging on the bottom of the car. Anything deeper than 3 or 4 inches of snow and the wife's X3 is what I would be driving. Just no need in tearing up the front or bottom of the M5. |
