I would start in 2nd gear at around 50mph , this puts you in the meat of the power band and gets you up to full boost by 60 ( may have traction issues is my only caveat ) . The 60-130 times from an isolated run like this is usually .3-.4 sec faster than an imbedded 60-130 mph in a 1/4 mile run . Also the DA plays a huge role in 60-130 mph ( I believe even more than the 1/4 mile trap ) . To give you a reference point my tuned 1/4 mile imbedded 60-130 was 7.8 on a + 2000 DA 0 slope and 7.5 on a isolated 60-130 0 slope +2000 DA . Let me know if you need anything !

Thanks G
I was thinking 2nd gear would be the best too! I plan to put drag radials on for consistent runs. Th problem I'm having is finding a good road. Another thing is my meth has a little delay when kicking it, I feel like I have some air in the line or maybe a crimp somewhere. Once it starts flowing its kicking ass. Just have to check everything and see if all good.
I appreciate all the advice hopefully I can find a good road soon. I want it as close to a 0 slope as possible.
Any way thanks again

Wow, for a novice to all this technical data that was cool stuff to read even with the heated moments but the passion is all good! I just purchased BMS stage 1 with the cable and will probably install next weekend. Will let you know how it goes and what I think. Nope, not installing myself so will be interesting to have the psi discussion with my guy. Any other advice is always appreciated.

Awesome.

I agree I'm a novice myself but feel I've learned allot in a short time.

I installed the harness myself and it took a long time but I'm glad I did it because now I know where everything goes. I'm confident I will be able to remove and replace much faster the next time.

Try to observe the installation if possible.

Also great idea to have the cable. One of my factory settings was off. Also I bumped my boost to 3.5 on 93 gas and the car feels faster.

I finally got to the track with the BMS set to 3.0 (94 Octane) and Gruppe M intake installed.
It was so hot and humid I considered not even going. 25C and +80% humidity. Most of the night, the air was high 4000s and a guy with a weather station said the air broke over 5000. But with posted weather numbers I could only calculate high 3000s to low 4000s.

I figured I would still run better with the BMS set at 3.0. But all my times but one were the same or slower than without the BMS. MPH were all 119-122.

Main thing I am now finding is off the line the car will lurch forawrd then hesitate then take off. It isn't a bog but a definate hesitation after the car starts to move. Anyways, I have been using Drag Times to standardize my runs; even with the crappy air, my car was about .1 faster with the BMS. My low trap speed still is a disappointment for a CP car. I am hoping this increases in the fall when the air drops to low 2000s.

So do you think the BMS is working? I am not sure .1s is significant. My trap speed with similar mods in similar conditions, i.e. 80% humidity and 32C temp is 122.8 mph and my car isn't CP. I would think yours would do 125+ if the BMS was working even in the heat.

I went last thursday to Atco with very little thread left on my pss tires. I didn't use any launch control just mash it off the line. BMS setting at 3.5 and 93 octane.

I think so. Yeah, I think our mods are pretty much identical. Using Drag Times my time does correct to 11.3 @ 125, which is still a bit on the low side for the trap speed. I will wait for cooler temps before I start over thinking this.

Hot and humid here as well. I gave up after the the last few runs as I was running 11.4's@124 vs my other times in a different weather.
Will have to wait for October.
Still running older version of the BMS.
