If the last step (push controller down once) did not select the highlighted menu, then it worked.

Go to settings and you will now see a "Service Menu". You can see a few different values and settings within the service menu. GPS reception, Phone reception (xx/100), wheel sensors, navi versions, etc.

Or up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, b, a select, start

my issue is not the same as OP’s, although my downshifts are still definitely lethargic.

i’ve noticed going from 5-4 and 4-3 in sport+ S3 sometimes that my downshift is delayed. i’ll click the paddle, the cluster number immediately changes, but my car hesitates to downshift for about 1 to 1.5 seconds. it literally sounds like the car puts itself into neutral for that 1 to 1.5 seconds and then downshifts, very weird. keep in mind this is S3, the most aggressive setting where i want everything to be instant. i’ve been planning on doing a fluid flush as well as an XHP flash to see if that’ll fix it and reset the transmission software, just haven’t got around to it. if anyone has had the same experience let me know. came from an F80 and definitely never did anything like this.
