Greetings guys!

I'm trying to set up diagnostics for my 13' M5.

Anyone here have any experience with ISTA bmw diagnostic software?

I have the software downloaded, also a BMW compatible K + D Can cable from Amazon. I have synced the cable with the program and device manger several times however I still cant get the connection with vehicle…

I am new to F platform but I believe our cars require the ENET cable... not sure the K+DCan cable works.

That is my understanding too LOWvert - must use a ENET cable.

Thanks guys! Just ordered an ENET cable on Amazon for $20. Hopefully this will solve the problem.

It will work if your ISTA+ is fully operational. I use Rheingold regularly and the F series will require a ENET cable. In general, I prefer an ICOM to communicate with all series, fast and stable connection!

Yep I'm seeing an ICOM setup is about $200, definitely worth the investment if I wanna do all my own diagnostics and repairs

The China clone setup is around $200, the OEM ICOM including the necessary Adapters is close to $1000! But the clone versions work just as well. I actually had an original ICOM and sold it after the clone system worked more than well. If you get a chance to purchase one, just do it
