Supposedly the DME's for M5/M6 have been cracked as well.
But those are just rumors so far.
If it was done I would think it would be posted up all over

Believe it when I see it. They also posted a pic at 162MPH and called that proof of a delimited vmax. Right...

Speedo. Lol. That was for the F8x. Not the M5. Nothing other than talk.

I am going to see Alex at Alpine in LA as he removes speed limiter on f10 m5's.

The rumor was also confirmed about cracking our ECUs and the job being 90% complete. If it's true, then upgraded turbos will be an easy mod. Vargas is working on it.

I should be receiving the Gintani catless downpipes in the next day or two. I ordered those on the recommendation from Alex@Alpine. I will also be getting the ECU and DCT tune installed by Alex@Alpine later this week or early next. Gintani claims that their catless downpipes, combined with the tunes completed by Alex@Alpine, will eliminate any CEL. And, yes, I will keep all informed of my car's status, and speed limit removal, when all is installed.

Uh, no. I got mine to 168 on the speedo but it was only 161 according to the Passport Max I had turned on at the time. In addition, my Vbox has measured and reported the car at 159 when I believe the speedo was reading 163.

Yeah I've seen a driver of an m4 with a speedo at 161 already lol 162 or some dyno graphs don't mean anything to me... Not sure why they cant post STOCK boost logs and other things to show they're inside.

Right? I've had my M5 at an indicated vmax of 167 on the autobahn. Positing pics like this was a lame excuse for proof.

I think it has been proven that the ECU was not really cracked.
there was an article about it somewhere but i cannot find it now

Now that the 30 year version is out BMW prob leaked the codes .... That allowed them to sell the special ed at a high premium. Great commercial decision.
