F10 M5 Launch Control Sequence
Warning deactivating the traction control is extremely dangerous!!!! Only experienced drivers should attempt to use launch control under safe conditions.
F10 M5 Launch Control: 1. Hold traction control down for 5 seconds. The traction control should be off completely. MDM should not be displayed. 2. Hold the shifter forward for 3 seconds and a checkered flag will appear in the bottom left portion of the gauges. 3. Hold the gas pedal down until RPMs hold. Release the M shifter and off you go! Unlike the E60 M5, the F10 M5 allows launch control to be activated in any mode. Ie. comfort, sport, sport plus. |

Also should add that you can adjust the RPMs with the cruise control switch.
BMW doesn't limit but the car does keep track. Excessive launching can void your warranty.

I think you forgot to say that using the LC is like putting 10K on your tranny .. everytime... this is what BMW Performance Driver told me at the Testing Center... so don't go crazy on LC

Hear me now, believe me later... I won't trash my tranny unnecessarily... I went to Test drive the new Maserati GT Sport, at the factory in Modena. Once again the professional driver told me, don't mess too much with LC or your clutch will need to be replaced in less than 2 years...
Do you know what the LC is actually doing ? It's holding 500lb.ft of torque at Launch.... you get that at 1500 rpms |
