I'm not sure the objective here is to make the M5 a drag car, but rather to use the drag strip to measure any gain made by modifications to the car (engine tuning etc).

Isn't the 0-60 etc. just as silly measurements? Don't we compare those acceleration times between RS6, E63 AMG, M5 etc and use those numbers to compare the cars? What's the difference in taking a stock M5 down the drag strip (which has timing equipment and is a internationally comparable distance) and then compare your modified version with the stock.

Trap speed at the 1/4 mile is a very good indicator of power and a increase in trap speed indicates a increase in HP. ET indicates better traction and a good launch.

For comparison purposes taking the car to the drag strip makes sense, doesn't it?

(Ghanem: Try laying off the capital letters and big font... That is kind of like screaming and rubs people the wrong way)

Can you tell me if the the base tune is the same tune from Otto Noelle? Seems like none of the other tuners (Manhart, PP, GTHaus, etc.) want to comment on the specific "origin" of the "base tune".

Would you care to confirm or deny the origins of this tune?

No, this is a fully developed tune by Jimmy Pelka " Owner Of PP " . He used to work for evotech many years ago, but now opened his own company. All he's tunes are by him, no outsourcing .
