2016 BMW M5 Ultimate Package - Canada only?
I'm toying with the idea of picking up an F10 M5 from the dealer...
In Canada, we have something called the Ultimate Package and I don't think I've seen it on the forums yet. For those wondering, the Ultimate Package is just basically every single option (except CC brakes). So it gives you the following -Full Leather -Premium Package -B&O Sound -Competition Package The interesting bit I found is that it also includes the M Performance Exhaust. SO this is not the same exhaust found on the Competition Package (which is essentially the same as the stock exhaust except the tips are black). Sounds like a great package considering the exhaust is essentially included in the price, but you are not really paying for it. What I mean by not paying for is this, the Ultimate Package costs $25 000. However, if you add each of those options included in the Ultimate Package, it works out to be the same (actually for some reason, its actually $100 less to include all those packages). Full Leather - $4500 Premium Package - $9000 B&O Sound - $4900 Competition Package - $6500 = Total of $24 900 Odd, because usually a package is cheaper than when you select each and every option on its own. However, I believe the M Performance Exhaust is included when you go Ultimate so I guess its worth $100 bucks right? haha Pics of an Ultimate Package equipped M5 & M6

Of course... There is currently a $5000 BMW delivery credit as well as another $1000 off if you visited the Toronto auto show this past couple weeks. So that's $6000 off + whatever discount you can negotiate which I would say is at least another $5k off.

What is this "Delivery Credit" of $5,000.00 , how did you manage to acquire that or is it a well-known standard credits. I am about to pick up one myself, wanted to know about this credit? Thanks. |

In my opinion, this car was not meant to be a 6MT. DCT is the one and only option for this car in my books and I am an avid 6MT lover as you can see in my sig.

BMW Canada is giving $5000 off, so whatever you negotiated with your dealer would be in addition to that. I hope your dealer didn't give you 2-3k off and make you think like you got a great deal because if they gave you 2-3k off, they are actually keeping the difference which means they are ripping you off. Where did you buy from?

Thanks...
Thanks for the info....
I'll take a look at the BMW Canada Website, but there is always a fine print on the web page: stating websites are known for mistaken prices etc. etc. Anyways, I'll chat with my BMW sales representative. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks. P.S. just tried their configurator online, of course, it is not working! :P I found the following disclosure: Retailers are free to set their own prices. Offer expires February 29th, 2016. Delivery must be taken by February 29th, 2016. Offer is subject to availability and may be cancelled or changed without notice. Certain conditions apply. See your local BMW Retailer for full details. |

In addition to this, I am told I have until March 31st to pick up the vehicle, that is how long this program is in place until. Let me know how you make out...I am curious what they tell you. PM Me your dealership, I am curious who you are dealing with if you don't want to say it here See screenshot from BMW website with the $5000 credit

If you pay cash, $7500 factory credit.
The biggest and most factory credit for the M5 ever given was $15K on cash purchase/finance/lease. This was back in MY2013 end of model year clearance and the LCI were out already for MY2014. Some dealers in the GTA were also throwing in winter set of wheels & tires into the car to get rid of the car + whatever you can get off from the dealer side as well. In all, low $20K off was totally doable back then. |

I am not aware of the $7500 but if you say so, I'll take your word for it! $15k is sweet and I imagine that between September and December of this year, BMW will up the credit to at least 10k to get rid of remaining 2016s. Perhaps worth waiting but who wants to pick up a RWD M5 just before the winter haha!

Once winter time hits and the dealers are sitting on leftovers, I am sure you have the upper hands on the negotiation.
I noticed the last couple of years, the factory credit allowance is not as great as before, or even near what the M6 credit allowance is. GL. |

Should be more since that car is way over priced and BMW knows it.

Read/watch the reviews
In my opinion, the car is too large to be a 6MT. It's just not what it was designed for, BMW never intended to make a 6MT option for the F10 M5, but the North American market demanded it and there BMW put together whatever they could and offered it to this market only. The reviews will speak for themselves! Also, I once spoke to a used car wholesaler and he informed me that 6MT M5s have terrible resell as there is such a small market for them.

That's very true
Dealer may be stuck with a manual many months before finding a buyer, hence, dealer will need to low ball the seller during the trade in process |

Also 6MT was a carry over from the 550i (supposedly) so not engineered for the M5. More of a North America wants a standard option - give them that as we're not engineering one for such low take rate. Hence, isn't really matched to the car.

Hey OP,
I was just looking at the Ultimate Pkg as well on the M5. Dealers in Calgary are advertising $10k off ANY M5/6. However not sure if that already includes the $5k delivery credit shown on BMW.ca I have also seen interest rates as low as 0.9%. It is quite a good deal to get into one. I also noticed on BMW site that the frozen and individual colors are no cost option. |

Can you post those 10k off ads ? Would love to see it! Ya I'm sure it includes the $5k from BMW but where's the other 5k coming from? I assume on the dealer end which is fine but surprised they would advertise that they are willing to give another 5k off. Most dealers will try to give you that $5k and make you think you got a good deal meanwhile they really sold it at msrp coz that $5k didn't come out of their pocket. .9% is great! Rate is 1.9% here in Ontario, but we get .75% off for BMW loyalty. So it works out to be 1.15% which isn't bad still!
