Differences between Stock and Forged S63 Pistons
Not many get to see the internal workings or parts of any engines. Below are photos to show the differences between a stock cast piston and a forged coated piston we have developed for our S63 builds.
There are many places where the piston has been beefed up along with the wrist pin. Another area where differences can be spotted is the oil ports where the oil control ring is installed. The factory cast piston has only 4 ports where the forged piston as 14 ports. I will let the photos do the talking. |
