Is there any point in running S2 without running meth? What power gains could one see with just upgraded turbos without meth? Would it also be safe without meth?

Also is it safe to run X without a built engine?

You need meth or an additional fuel source even with stock turbos if you want to push more power.

No, pointless running the X on a stock motor

The supporting mods are relatively the same (although for the Pure X... it was on stock exhaust), but intakes, downpipes, race-gas/methanol are baseline for all the combinations.

I would state that the Pure S1 and S2 plots are pretty much maxing out the turbos. The Pure X has some ways to go (both the turbo and supporting mods) and will update as I get more testing done.

Hope this can be useful in making turbo decisions.
So bang for the buck on a stock engine with jb4+meth...go with pure stage 1 or 2 ?

Pure stage 1 is 2750$ stage 2 is 5k so there is a difference in pricing , but offer similar power with stage 2 holding the power much better until redline and stage stage 1 spooling faster at lower rpms but not holding full power until redline . It’s all about what you can afford , personally I think I’m gonna go stage 1’s . I wanna hit 750whp with my M5. My question to Allmotor is with my setup which currently is jb4+bcm, dmetuning bef, bms meth kit, catless downpipes and full exhaust will I be able to achieve 750whp at a healthy range with pure stage 1’s without causing any issues to the engine ?

Mpowermike i think what you say is right but the quicker spool i dont think will help massively as we overpower the tyres anyway and once you shift into 2nd you dont drop below 5k anyway meaning that s2 difference will be where its at for the rest of the gears.

If you tune it for torque in the 700-750 wtq range you should be fine. Then again everything else must be in good shape like fuel, seals etc.

I don’t know how the Weistec will perform so we have to wait and see. I do know how the Pure X performs! The Pure X is also configurable so we can easily go a little bigger and it’s bolt-on to what is on the car!

Boost isn’t the killer - it’s torque. Stock motor with too much torque down low will damage the rods. Power up top won’t be too much of an issue. Nevertheless a bad tune irrespective of built or not can destroy any engine

Im on S2 and making 725whp/815wtq on a Mustang Dyno. 815wtq at about 3000rpms. Was thinking of turning it up from 24 to 28psi for 1/4 mile day and roll race event. Want to at least get the rest of the summer out of this engine tho.
