MY MPG has improved
Had my 1200 mile service Monday @ 1194 miles, since then I filled up and did 200 miles on three journeys mixed and some booting, cruising @ 85/90 MPH.
Re-Filled and got 27.1 MPG brim to brim I just can't believe it what a car. Thats on TECSO 99 momentum.

The Car says 25.9 MPG but Brim to Brim it's 27.1 MPG.
Not sure if the computer has reset from my Hard Brake in though. It should Have by now. Never the less well pleased. I just do not see how it does it, the car flys.

Mines just hit 8k and the computer shows an average of 20.7 mpg over that time. My last car a Maserati GT S average 15-16 mpg on similar journeys/driving style, so a significant improvement, lot less time spent at the pump!

Be careful johnbmw6, you may lose your ///M privileges with continued MPG in the mid to high 20s!

typically I'me getting about 22/23 over a tank.
Did a test once ( boring as hell ) of keeping the car between 65+70 on a run up the M1 and got up to 33mpg over a distance. Would die of old age though before you got anywhere. |

Around London, I get 17 mpg at the moment. It's very frugal. The e60 did 12 mpg. The bigger tank is great too.

'14 M5 at 21 mpg +
I've been getting about 23 mpg indicated (running 91 octane) with 1,300 miles on the spedo at steady 83.7 (I use a high end GPS to gauge the amount the speedometer is off). I make sure I *never* exceed 85 mph on NV, UT and CA highways as it will assure a ticket. Utah has and is moving most out of town freeways to a speed limit of 80 mph! FWIW all of my last three BMW have registered 3 - 5 mph SLOW on the speedometer. So, I'm guessing that 190 mph is going to look more like 205 mph on the speedometer.
