At HRE event and spoke directly with Akrapovic and Eibach.

Akra says no plans to produce downpipes for the F10. Not in development. Not coming.

Eibach claims 2 months or so to springs for the F10 M5. Head engineer was injured, which has delayed development.

+1 I really want to keep the stock electronic adjustability of the shocks as I think it works very well, and the sleeve kit with some choice of spring rate would be ideal. As well as the ride height freedom of course.

communicated with KW Germany last year and they have already indicated no sleeve kit will be made. Not big enough of a market, unlike the M3 or soon to be M3/4

Darn! Many years ago I had a threaded sleeve made up by a local machine shop for a Macpherson strut, along with some spring perches, and then even found a spring manufacturer to build a custom 2.5" diameter spring at the appropriate rate for not a ton of money. This was in Los Angeles and probably not feasible in west Michigan, but I'm sure it could be done if the right companies can be found.

So eibachs can be ordered in 2 months for the f10 m5?

Are they really better than H&R or ACS? What is the drop with eibach?

My H&R springs work fine. I scraped sometimes going out to the country roads when there's dips so KW sleeve kit would be tough to drive any lower than it is.

Why does this company in Australia have Eibach pro-kit in stock for F10 M5 and people here are saying it doesn't exist?

I found out that there is a part# that exists for Eibach Springs for an F10 M5 but the springs do not actually exist. If anyone sells you Eibach Prokit Springs with the Eibach Part Number they are probably Eibach 550i Springs sold to you that say F10 M5 on the box such as is the case here. I forget what the particular part# is, but I found this out by talking to Eibach and Trinity Autosport.

Therefore, I don't know where those Australian dudes got those springs, but they are most likely Eibach 550i Springs. Lol!

That guy got those Eibach F10 m5 as a test spring in 2012. You are right, technically, they don't exist and there may have been some subtle tweaks and adjustments over the last 12 months. I asked Eibach USA last year, in turn, they asked thier Eibach Germany testing facility to provide some feedback. As many know, these Eibach springs are more or less the same as the ACS springs with probably minor differences.

Well it makes sense. Akra only works with Titanium and Titanium is not the best metal for heat management like you need with downpipes.

If I'd venture a guess as to why Akra is not doing downpipes it probably has to do with CARB. I believe that there was an issue at some point with CA and Akra...could be mistaken though.

Actually they do have many downpipes and exhausts in SS...including DPs for the X-M trucks. Just saying...

Actually you are prolly right too. They make all of their products to be in compliance with European decibel level laws. So downpipes would have exceeded those noise restrictions. Just a guess though.

Yeah, the Akra employee commented that he thought it was a bit odd that they make DPs for the X6M, but won't be doing so for the F10 M5. He said he has been trying to get Germany to understand that Americans want more noise, but they aren't hearing it (pun intended)
