OEM lug bolt specs

Hey all - I'll be putting 12mm spacers all around on my '14 CP. Took a good bit of digging to find the info, so I'm posting here for others.

Stock lug bolt specs:
  • 14x1.25mm thread
  • 17mm hex head
  • 27mm length
  • Cone seat
  • 140 N-m (103 Ft-lbs) tightening torque (see referenced post below)

This is important info so you can get the proper extended length lug bolts when adding spacers. I'm surprised to see that they changed the threading on these from my E60. I have many lug bolts lying around from various configurations on my old car - I assumed the bolts would be the same - I'm glad I looked before trying, otherwise I might have screwed up the threading on my car.

ahh too late for me..

I messed up my threading and I have only 4 bolts on one of my rear wheel right now..

You can re-tap it if you didn't mess it up with much.

Yes. Rethreading a bolt can be done if it's not too messed up.
