Is it a cold air intake ? Because tubes look long, not the best thing for turbo cars, more stress for turbos as far as I understand, better more volume since we have air coolers already

Well the way its setup it helps the turbos work more effeicoent and te air is compressed compared to them having to suck the air. It's more efficient and the power gains are better tha m anything out there

On the M6 it showed 40whp an 30wtrq early and gains all through the midrange. Plus those gains were from already upgraded intake

The gains should be even stronger do to completely stock set up.

And don't forget this is on a Dyno that isn't getting true air like on the street, imagine the velocity of air on the highway. Also mpg went up. So its all about how the setup is engineered. Long pipes don't help if they have to suck the air but this set up is a true ram air.

Installing R&D intake today we see how she does. Will take a couple of days to adapt then into the Dyno
You're not doing it wrong , 9's stock in the hot shit air we have now is about right for an M5 . What was the DA during you're runs and what was the percent slope. . Will help compare to others numbers . I got 8.1 seconds 60-130 stock in my M6 CP but that was on a zero slope and a negative 1500 DA . I've done LOTS of 60-130 testing and in my experience DA has more effect for 60-130 runs than for 1/4 mile traps . Slope can also majorly change results . I'm one of the only people to not max out the -2 " legal negative slope for a 60-130 run and always use a 0 slope location .

Thanks for the info GMD2003!

Well I ran the car a couple different spots and some had a little slope +/- and all the runs were consistent time. I plan to run the same road the same way so even if there was a +/- slope it will show the gains do to running the at the same way.
I'm out of town and its realy hot and humid here, and I can already feel the difference compared to my last Vbox runs. I think today and tomorrow it will start to shine.
Either way between the Vbox and Dyno numbers will give a good idea of how the intake is performing.

Just make sure the temps are very similar as a 1000 foot swing in DA will have more of an effect than an intake.

So what does the 670 represent? New intake, downpipes, bms? Is it with meth?

No, that was the M6 with the added intake I was just showing the power gains through the midrange. Also this dyno run was comparing to the previous intake setup which was stock intake with charcoal filter delete, k&n filter, and rpi ram air scoops. Astonmartian777 was saying the intake wouldn't show power do to the longer piping. So I showed the Dyno gains of the M6.

Still haven't dynoed the M5 yet waiting for it to adapt. Should have Dyno an Vbox next week

So far car feels strong feels like I raised the boost 2-3 lbs.
Also runs consistent doesn't seem to heat soak like it used to. The sound is amazing, I really can't describe it, but its not like the open air filters doesn't have the suction noise.
As you kick it and let off completely you can here the woosh sound but doesn't sound ricey it just sound clean and aggressive. Its a clean and crisp sound really hard to describe. It will be one of those gotta hear it and it will bring a smile on your face. Put it this way, people standing at a gas statin made sure to turn their heads 180* when I kicked it and let off. Remember car is still stock.
Maybe I can shoot some video to get an idea how it sounds
Heading back home, so hope to Dyno this week

Dude, we are on the edge of our seat! This is exciting! I just hope you realize how quickly you will have to mass produce this mod!

Lol! Well I wanna make sure its as good as it can get from a performance standpoint and having a beautiful design fit and finish.

So far the logo I've designed and all the extra touches you will be pleased. Didn't cut corners anywhere between CNC cut flanges, logo engravings, tig welding and the best filters on the market for this set up. It will have options per your preference. Easy to access for maintenance purposes. Everything has been thought out from my personal experiences for I've been modding since my first e36 M3 95'
Then onto the next
E39 m5, e63 m6, and now f10/13 m5/m6
All my cars I customized and modded for I'm very anal in detail and preference. My fabricator and CNC guy probably hate me right now lol

Here's a coolant line bracket I've designed for my methanol charge pipe set up.

When the nozzle is screwed in its flush to the pipe. Might look that way because of the pic.

Have some video before I got home nothing special I know some wanted to hear it. The good thing is no exhaust you can really hear it. With exhaust it will sound crazy like in my M6
In the beginning you can hear the turbos spooling then as I get in front if the camera both times you can hear when I key off. The sound is crisp and not over the top. The video doesn't give it justice

With an exhaust it sounds amazing.

Ill shoot a video with the M6 since its fully modded will be a great comparison
