How Can Brakes Cost $10,000? The Brilliance Of Carbon Ceramics

A great YT channel for general nerd stuff and surprised I hadn't seen this video sooner.

A good vid on CC brakes and unless car is tracked I can't see any reason to have them on a road car let alone an M5 with the $$ ££ extra to shell out for them, some have even been changing back to steel discs when replacement time comes around for the CC's which do wear out eventually. Just my opinion.

Yeah the buy in price is not for the faint of heart. Mine are still good at 105k miles. For extending the life of them check out rebrakeusa.com. There is a Carbon Ceramic Brake FB group as well.

The do brake very well heck even my wife notices the difference. the other thing we like about them is that the wheels stay extremely clean.

I did read a health study recently that stated those that do squats for one minute several times a day either preserve or improved cognitive health.

thankfully I have 2 other BMW's with steel brakes that need regular washing otherwise I'd be fit for the looney bin.
