Oil Pump whine on cold startup.

Hi gents.
My 2016 M5-PM Edition has a more pronounced oil pump whine, after the 30K service. It sounds almost like a broken doll, matches revs. This only occurs when cold. It is not audible once warm. The noise was very quiet up until the 30K service.

I remember this from my 2010 X5M, it was very strong.
2011 X6m and 2014 X6M did the same thing after the initial oil change.

My warranty is running out in May 31. Should I be concerned or is this just a normal noise?

Any input is appreciated.

As you still have the warranty, go take it to the dealer and get it checked out. Oil pump whine or any whine is not normal for these cars. Could be a precursor for something if not fixed.

Strange it happens just after the service, what grade of oil did they put in??

Sounds like maybe a different oil was used than what you normally run?

I've never heard of an S63/63TU having oil pump whine. Power steering pump whine yes. Which will be louder on cold start and go away once warm. Post a video ASAP.

What ever came of this? I'm curious as to what you found out.

I had a similar whine and my PS fluid was low and there were bubbles in the fluid. Brought it up to level and she's all good now.
