F10 M5 paddle shifters not working

The paddle shifters on my f10 m5 stopped working. The car recognizes that I'm pressing them because it switches into manual mode when I press them, but the gears don't change at all. All the other buttons on the steering wheel work, and the shifter on the center console works perfectly, it's just the paddles that don't work. I looked at the modules, and the central gateway has faults for flexray initialization and central fault memory full. Could that be what's causing the issue? How do I resolve this, Or what else should I look for. Thanks!

I'd try and disconnect the battery for a few hours and reconnect. Maybe it needs a restart?

Have you charged the battery? These cars act weird when low on charge.

It's definitely software related. Do gear changes work normally when using the dct lever?
