Exclamation Best settings for 0-top speed acceleration ???

i am going for drag race in airfield in 2 weeks

its going to be a mile race going to make some videos finally with my RPi

would you share your settings when u were getting best times?

i know that best weight distribution is at COMFORT suspension mode, my main concern is wether i should use:
launch control with traction control off
or S3 with MDM
or D3 with MDM/traction off/on

Using LC for me depends on the racing surface. If that airstrip is concrete and fairly clean I'd skip LC and use MDM. Regardless, for max acceleration in a straight line I set the suspension in comfort, and use D3 for shifts and throttle on sport +. Steering is an interesting question as I don't know if the sport + setting reduces the "assist" from the power steering pump which would seem to indicate it would reduce the parasitic drag on the engine. I've used the sport setting in the past but would like to hear from others on the concept of parasitic losses of all the settings.

D3/MDM .

There's a guy here (sorry-forgot name) who gets crazy drag times with this. Also, I had discussed this at length with a performance guy when I first got the car. Tried it several times and always got the best speed myself with this. D3 ensures perfect shifts. S3 may seem faster but you don't hit the shifts as well and it is just not as smooth. When I got my 991 I raced a salesperson in a C4S with my M6 and I screwed up trying to do S3 and in that split second he left me standing still.

D3/MDM. My only defeat was to a 700 rwhp car. Nothing else has touched that setting.

Sport + on everything else.

Agree with D3/MDM. If you try S mode and get to close to rev limiter it really slows you down. D3 gets the shift point right every time.

My car never sees the auto/D mode lol. But I guess I do it all the time so I never mess up shifting.
