My Pure Metal Silver M5 is here

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Just got the news tonight, a little after 8pm, that my car had arrived at the dealer.

I went to check it out right away. It was dark, but I could tell the Pure Metal Silver paint was something special. The paint was unbelievable.

I will be picking up tomorrow and I will post pics. Then it's off to the detailer for a couple of days. I will have the detailer take some really good photos as well to post later in the week.

Pure Metal Silver
Black Full Merino Leather
M Carbon Ceramic Brakes
20" M light alloy wheels Style 343M w/performance tires
Bang & Olufsen Sound System
Piano Finish Black Trim
Competition Package
Driver Assistance Plus
Executive Package

Wow! That was pretty quick considering the Individual Pure Metal Silver paint. Did you order the 343M wheels in silver or black? Either way I'm sure it will look fantastic! And just in time for Christmas!

Wow, insane to pay 10k for some paint and the car will be worth 65k in two years. Looks good by the way just not 10k good.

You're gonna need a much better camera to capture the brilliance of this paint!

Nice selection.

I'm not convinced we've seen it at it's best yet - need more pics from the detailer.

@sealionbeast if your detailer takes a video, would love to see it, although I'd imagine PSM is like moonstone in terms of capturing how it looks in real life.

As this is hand painted, is it free from the usual BMW defects, i.e. nibs, etc?

Agree a close up shot would make the difference. My comment was not appropriate as it not my car or choice. Congrats.

Not inappropriate, just an opinion; I also debated PSM, but having seen the $10K quotes on this forum thought better of it. That would usually translate to £10K in UK.

PSM looks stunning under fluorescent lighting in the Gustav video where you get glimpses of the chrome effect referred to in the BMW video above.

I just dropped off to detailer. He will definitely takes lots of pics. I will ask for video. I am sure his pics will be better than mine. My pics were just with iPhone and the car had not even been washed and it was on overcast day. Also, I don't really know what I am doing when it comes to taking pics. The weather is supposed to be sunny and in the 80's when I pick up on Tuesday so we should be able to get some good shots.

Congratulations!

Yours is one of the best M5 hands down from the beginning. Loaded, she is really a loaded M5. Enjoy.
Let me clarify, IMO your M5 is the best in the stable.

Yeah I'm sure the detailer will take some quality pix.

Dude, if I were you, I'd seriously consider Clearbra-ing the entire car. I'd imagine any scratches or chips would be very very expensive to fix.
