Most guys with just a tune who have tracked their RS7's are in the high 10.7x's at 129-131 mph traps. The AWD and tune make this car incredible to launch and it weighs about 4400 + lbs. The steering does leave something to be desired if you are pushing it hard into sharp turns but I have learned the car's handling characteristics. It just had its 6 month bday and it has lasted longer in my stable than the F10 M5

I think the R8 is going away, what to get??????????????/
Wow! That was 6 months ago already...time flies.

Like I said before, I think that RS7 is one very cool car. Looks good and can be made so darn fast! That was likely an S8. By the way he was all anxious I knew something was up. No way a stock Audi would line up next to me (at least not any reasonably sane driver). Even Vettes, Mustangs and Porsches shy away-lol! It was right in my mirror the whole time. Definitely a close one.

Hmmm....let's see. You already have the Ferrari so exotic is covered. You have the Merc so cab is covered. I would venture to say GT3 would be a unique addition or something along the lines of the XKR. Or you could go for say a Z06? I know, not exactly in the class of cars that you or I prefer but it is pretty darn impressive. Worth a few months of fun if you can get your hands on one.

Alternatively, you are welcome to my GT3 allocation. Car is delivered next month.

A very apt and logical replacement for the R8 if you are looking to retain that certain character of car in your stable...

Word on the street is that new Huracan-platform R8 is facing production problems, and will be delayed until late 2015 at the earliest. You can be illogical and get a new 2014/2015 with the upgraded S-tronic, but you will certainly have to dump it when the new version debuts in order to (1) avoid a massive depreciation hit and (2) buy the new version

We have similar tastes, so what's out there....

V12 Vantage - awesome car but slushbox tranny. I'd wait for the new bespoke AMG engine and dual-clutch tranny
Huracan - if you don't want to wait for the new R8.... Considering your recent purchase, Enzo Ferrari would roll over in his grave after your this purchase though
Nismo - Enough said - you know exactly what you are getting with this one.
Z06 - you could probably get it for free based on your R8 trade lol
SLS AMG - NA V8 + gullwing + dual clutch = awesomeness
Mp4-12c - ya, I know you have the 458, but a 2014/15 R8 is the same price as a minutely used 2013 MP4-12c.
S63 AMG Coupe - In case you are missing a larger GT car - MCT tranny though....

I think the Z06 is the one for me as I type and fly over Ebola Ridden Texas LOL.

I like the SLS too... I cant do the S coupe as I will love the looks but hate the pigmatic ABC suspension and will get mad and leave it on the side of the road.

Hahahaha! I hear ya! Blistering fast would be the appropriate pass through speed.-lol

The SLS is an awesome car. For some reason. however illogical, I equate them with old guys-an image I am trying desperately to hide from while I can.

I know. I was messing with you.

Might put it right in his affordability range. If the prices don't jump much the Carrera S will be hard to beat. Smart move by Porsche. Sales will go through the roof. They needed the power boost desperately.

Yeah, if true it's a good thing, 400hp is underpowered for $120k+. Not sure I believe 530hp, maybe 475 or 500 unless the TT gets a 50hp boost.

The current C2S is the same price for 400 hp. Porsche pricing is always that way. gotta pay to play.

Right that is what I was referring to. Stealth has it about right on the other thread, at 400hp they will be the slowest car in the class other than the Maserati which is purely for looks anyway.

That is currently the case for every Porsche (991, Panamera, Cayenne). Our ML63 was the same price as our current Cayenne GTS but had 100 more HP and more loads more torque than the GTS. The equivalent HP/Tq version was the Cayenne Turbo which was about $20K more than the ML63 (or even X5M). On the other hand, the Cayenne drives so much better than the ML63 that we don't miss it at all. Like most M cars, Porsche is less about raw HP and more about the drive. The weight of a 2WD 991 is also around 3100 lbs, which really changes the way the car drives.

I would say drive plus styling. The Cayenne is better looking than the ML63 or the X5M, IMO, and it definitely drives better. The seats are better the appointments are better. Your GTS has 25 less hp than our X5 5.0 did. Cayenne GTS is a way nicer SUV but it's also $25k more than the X5 was. That is why I didn't buy my wife a Cayenne in Feb 13, it was too expensive and I got more for less with the X5 5.0. I didn't get the styling and that is what she liked. I also didn't get the drive because the Cayenne handles way better than the X5. It feels more stuck to the road anyway. The tech is better in the X5 but not the leather.

Since we will soon both have a M5, Cayenne and TT (TTS in your case), it seems that we have the same taste with respect to styling.

Quick follow up...

I ended up trading my X5M for a 2013 M5! Looking to sell the Porsche Turbo now.
