So I guess retrofitting the new M6 steering wheel should be a whole heap easier once there fitting the wheel standard on the M5?

I haven't read anything confirming any changes beyond the obvious led headlights seen on the test car..... I'll remain skeptical until I see seem thing confirmed in writing from BMW.

Is the standard 5 series getting the Idrive touch system? If is not, there is no way they'd put it only on the M5.

Off topic...

Did the management of Merc approve the design of the facelifted E before it is being released? It looks like a kit car and cheap. Just not pleasing to look at.

Also who would want to buy the almost 1,100 2013 M5's and M6's that are sitting on dealer showroom floors right now!

Would they really set the BHP on the M5 higher than the M6 - I don't think so!

Agree. Doing this would pose a serious obstacle to M6 Gran Coupe sales.

Sometimes the people writing these articles have no common sense. The launch of the 2014 M6 gave us a lot of clues on the 2014 M5. Among them no Park button, no ceramic controls, no AWD, and no power upgrade.

Yeah you do make sense Stealth. Has anyone seen any official numbers on the M6 Gran Coupe. I can't recall if it really is going to get a power bump to 580bhp.

Official stats are same as our cars. It's on BMW USA now.

http://www.bmwusa.com/standard/conte...e/default.aspx

BTW the Gran Coupe has been in production for the past 3 weeks. We should see them showing up on US shores within a month.

I don't think a power bump for the M5 LCI would compromise M6 GC sales. People will get an M6 GC because of the styling and the exclusivity. ~20bhp less than an M5 LCI won't probably change that.

And the idea that the M6 GC gives clues on what the M5 LCI will or won't have is questionable. Take for instance the new iDrive Touch Sys, it's not available on the 2014 M6 GC, yet it's pretty much confirmed for the M5 LCI as per the OP.

Well as one who is very likely to buy an M6GC this summer, I can tell you that I would change my mind if the M5 had more power.

Really? I thought we wouldn't see these on the road until next spring.

Why are you waiting until the summer? Just waiting for better deals?

I want to do an ED.

I offered $2k over ED invoice to several dealers, but best they are willing to do is $5,500 over ED invoice. Still waiting till they take my offer.

As far as I know, the 6 series lineup (F12/F13/F06) are not getting an LCI (yet).

Not yet. The 6 Series hit the market after the 5 Series, so it will be refreshed later as well. Look for the LCI to come according to approximately the same schedule as the F10's.

Stay tuned to the homepage, we'll be sure to post up the 6 Series LCI prototypes as soon as they are spotted by our photographers.

Autocar had also "confirmed" that M5 will AWD in 2011 http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/ne...onfirms-m5-4wd I couldn't find any confirmation of the image and text that you posted btw, where is that info from?
