M5 Snubbed by Burger?

The M3/M4 has barely been released and Burger has already developed a JB4 box for it?? Does it seem like the M5 was snubbed with a less advanced box?? I am just asking. Why does the car not deserve a JB4? It would also be nice to control the maps with a remote instead of going into the engine compartment with a USB cable and a laptop.

The M4 S55 ECU is very similar to the N55 , thus the same CAN setup and why it worked day one . The S63 TU has a unique dual ECU setup and a more complex CAN system which makes it a LOT more work . If you want full fueling and timing control from a piggyback on the M5/6 you are stuck with DINAN currently and their nearly 4 k price tag .

The M5/M6 is a unique DME setup and thus the Stage1 is as much as they plan to offer for it. The M3/M4 use the F30 DME setup which BMS has already hacked so its practical to offer a JB4 for it.

On Dinan It will be interesting to see some dynojet runs, trap speeds, and logs from Dinan's setup. If history is any indication they won't be impressive but someone here should take the dive and fill us all in.

AFAIK Dinan has never claimed timing control. Only fuel biasing. Which the Stage1 has also on BMS' development car. For various reasons including difficult install and no real world benefit observed it never made it in to production.

Actually they do claim timing control . I agree they usually underperform , but we shall see .

Snubbed or not, with the JB3, downpipes and an axle back my car made 647whp and 617 wtq on 93 pump, and over 690wheel hp on MS109. Now I'm sure if I added Meth and a few more tricks I could get more. So you need to work for the power on this car, but there's plenty to be had.
