Accidental cap of water in gas tank
So I got myself into a predicament today…Need some help. The M5 is put away for the winter so I decided to get some extra gas in a 5 Gal can and fill my tank. In doing so the got some gas on the paint below the gas cap. I quickly stopped and in a panic got some distilled water to clean the gas of the paint.
We'll the cap wasn't on and .5 ounce of water was settled in the hub of the gas portal. Before I could wipe it dry the water sneaked down the pipe…. Obviously not starting the car. Having a really bad day here. I figure my options are as follows: 1) drain the fuel tank somehow 2) buy the heel fuel stabilized / water remover. However I'm not sure how these additives will effect the hpfp and rest of f10 m5 fuel system. 3) do nothing an hope for the best? |

It should be okay just to run it if it's just a small amount like you say.
