Lol. Kind of funny.... I did as well! I removed my dry carbons and replaced with polished. Though I don't have any pics.
I got mine from Bimmian for $215. They are the same exact tips Cyba sells, just less $.
Looking good guys!

Seriously...it's no wonder how he helps afford that collection. The dry carbon tips can be had as low as $200 on ebay. I paid $375 for mine. Which was a good savings from the $475 Cyba quoted me. Lol

Yes. Not by a lot... But just enough that is def noticeable when on the car.

FYI- the tips on a standard M5 are the same size as a Comp Pack M5. The only diff is color. Chrome on std vs black on Comp.

How hard is it to change the tips? Do you have to raise the car and drop part of the exhaust system to make the change?

No they are not. He sells them on this forum. Looks like he sources them from china or Taiwan, etc...
I found the same dry carob fiber ones on ebay and the same polished on Bimmian. No branding on any of them. Just less costly.

SUPER easy! No lift needed. Just get a nice piece of cardboard to lay on. The old tips literally slip off. You may need to spray some WD40 where the tips contact the muffler output pipe. Then just grab them and twist back and forth. They may be hard to break lose. But once you do, they just slip off.
Then the new ones just slide on and tighten down with (3) Allen bolts and lock nuts.
Between prep, work, clean up and not rushing... Factor an hour. If you're quick, you'll gain back some time. If it takes you longer, don't tell anyone! Lol

I wish M performance CF tips were available for stock mufflers.

Install was super simple...I followed the DIY that was posted in the subforum here and it was a snap.

I'll go back in a few days to make sure the nuts haven't loosened any but I'm sure they haven't.

Yeah, the M-Perf tips are my absolute favorites! But at $1500, it's hard to justify them!

And what's there to be tempted at with this thread?? Changing your tips? Why not do it?

As I said tempting to change the tips, but the issue is that those MPF tips are not fit with stock mufflers...
