Because I tried and watch to me is the only piece of jewelry that a man wears -
Did try the lousy Moto 360 and was under impressed but the idea is probably the future -
When Breitling makes a smart watch I will be the first to buy -

LOL... Thanks for calling me that name but I am not really that much knowledgeable ... I just know how to research and love to research....

As far as watch, I like watching beautiful watches , but I'm not that guy to use watch or pay lots of money for watch. My iPhone as well as my car and my computer have clock to let me know what time it is

there's a cute for that condition called Panerai or Breitling
Once there there's no going back
Missing out on a lot of fun
Just try it once -
But it is an acquired taste -

Only thing I like more than M5 and watches is BOOKS -

Just picked this up last week (new 6.75 Bentley Speed)....I'm definitely become a Breitling addict. I also have one of the new 48mm Navitimer GMT's (sold my Navitimer World and upgraded). Have a Rolex GMT II for casual wear....

Excuse the crappy Iphone pic...

Yeah, I actually almost bought one of the 6.75's in carbon black, too. Breitling's black models....whether it be 6.75, GMT, etc. are gorgeous. However, I have found out that if you scratch them (to where metal is showing), they are just about impossible to get refinished. It would bother me to pay $9k for a watch and then have a little ding on it where silver metal was showing so I'm passing on them. I have very small wrists, too....but I love the look. It makes my Rolex look like a kid's watch.

Love watches and am starting to get into them myself - which my wife hates, because I have a lot of expensive hobbies already - but it seems to me the fashions today are much to large for a person's write; the watches are way out of proportion and just look goofy.

The watches themselves are wonder in this thread, but they all seem far too large. Is it just me, or do people not want to admit it? Or, is that the preference?

I dunno, I've been collecting old British, American, and Swiss watches from the 50's-80's and the proportions seem better.

**upon reflection: I suppose it's just personal taste, much like cars**

They are PVD coated black....so it's still silver metal underneath. Think of it like a rim that is powdercoated black....if you curb it, it still shows the silver metal underneath.

Pretty sure they are the same thing.....they are SUPPOSED to be harder to scratch....however, my local AD had a midnight carbon in stock and when I inquired about the durability, she quietly showed me how there were already little chips on it just from taking the watch in and out of the case to show customers. That sealed the deal for me.

Nice tourbillion...

If you haven't been to www.strapsmith.com and checked out Rob Montana's work you should go there right now... He makes some amazing bespoke straps that pair perfectly with the panerais.
