Nice product if the side pipes were flowing better, in comparison, I think the Turner would do better.

In our initial design the exhaust split as early as possible and had equal flow through all four tips. The design looked great in theory but the drone was unacceptable.

As with any muffler delete system, drone will always be a bit of an issue. What sets our Muffler Bypass Pipes apart is the lengths that our engineers went to in order to mitigate this issue. We were able to cancel out much of the drone with the placement and shape of the Y in our system. We're very proud of our system and the sound speaks for itself. There is a very small amount of drone when cruising at low RPM in high gears, but it's quite manageable in my opinion. You can also get rid of it altogether by simply dropping a gear.

The sound under acceleration makes it MORE than worth it, though!

Very cool!

Here are some other Muffler Delete Designs for comparison.

I've never ridden in a Turner Exhaust car before and I've always run my muffler delete system without resonators so I can't speak on whether one design or another helps to defeat drone because I have always experienced a lot of drone due to my decision to run without resonators, but it is definitely interesting what Fabspeed has done. Would be interesting to ride in a FabSpeed M5 versus a Turner M5 for comparison.

Top to bottom:

1. Hartge
2. Turner
3. RPi

Akra is probably a 3 on the sound scale, best you stay stock IMO

There is a a great post on exhaust loudness and if you think the Akra is loud, these other exhausts are going to be an issue..

I'm coming from an E60 M5 with Eisenmann Race which I want to tone down with this new F10 M5. What would you rate this one as?

An e-race about a 6-7!
Not quite clear then as I got the impression you were saying the Akra is loud...

Sorry newbie here, I was under the impression that was the loudest on the market. Through more research, it seems like the RPI is?

Or is there a better thread for me to read?

There is a great 'sticky' thread on this in the modified exhaust, tuning section but basically excluding downpipes RPi, meisterschaft GT, e-race, e-sport, and then the axle backs in order of sound.. More or less

The System only comes with one option for tip finish. Unfortunately I don't have any customers in your area for an in person listen. You will have to be the trendsetter in the Dallas M5 scene. Pm me the best way to contact you and ill get you the last set i have in stock shipped today!!!!
