Exhaust Tips

I have been looking online to find aftermarket exhaust tips to replace my OEM chrome tips.

The only items I was able to find were the original or replica "M performance" tips in various colours.

Problem is, I ain't no spending a fortune for 4 round steel tubes. No sir.

I have also been looking at retailers and wholesalers like https://www.powerflowexhausts.co.uk/ and although I have contacted several to make some enquiries I still do not have a response.

Majority of exhaust tips have a small inlet diameter. Way smaller than the 69mm we need for our M5's.

Also, I hate the carbon looking tips that come in endless variations with M Performance, Acrapovic, Remus - you name it - logos.

Does anyone have a reliable source where they bought their tailpipes from?

Good evening mate - I found an alternative source and it proved to be a reliable vendor, as I was able to see for myself.

Sharing the link for your information: https://www.kipalm.com/collections/bmw-exhaust-tips

In my opinion they have an amazing and vast collection. I was able to find the tips I fancied and guess the price == $142.26 (£118) shipping included.

I went to my local garage and had them fitted for £40 this afternoon. So total cost is £138 but you can go for less if you know how to fit them yourself. They are slip ons - as soon as you removed the OEM tips they fall into place as the measurements are exact.

But this not the whole story. As soon as the new tips were put in place, oh man, the modified exhaust started singing like Adele on steroids.

I put the 3 bars in the gearbox (flaps fully open) and started cruising up and down the motorway smiling like a little child who got the best present from father christmas. Unbelievable, rough, loud and mean sound. I couldn't believe it. The tone is angry! I do not understand how these different tips made such a difference freeing up the motor raspiness to the point of vandalism!!!

i am writing this and still feeling jubilant and thinking about going out again to scare my neighbours for good this time
