Best regards,
south
I wouldnt say similar...the m5 wheels come back to a sort of round closed end while the x6 m ones just stay open at the end...but i guess maybe a little but its just because its a common bmw M style maybe?

Cool, I love gloss black rims.
I think BMW is the brand having the largest choice of rims, and good looking rims. Have you counted how many 19" rim styles there are for BMW 3 Series E9x? And in BMW, M rims are exclusive, you cannot put them on an non M car. In Audi you can get an Audi A3 or a Q7 with RS6 rims. This M5 Sedan looks so good, so what about the M6 GranCoupé?

+1. But I think BMW is using these wheels for testing. The reason I say this, is because we first saw the BBS F1 wheels, and now this. They keep switching.

I think these also resemble the 1M wheels in Scott26's post

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=348217

When I compare them back and forth the seem really similar to me....

I like the style of the wheels better than the x5/x6 m. The black on black suits it as well.

F10 M5 finally shows it's wheels.

Finally an M5 Prototype shows it's final wheels a mix of E60 , E39 and E92 M3 , Deep set multi-spoke following on from standard tradition of sharing a simularity with the M-Sport models.

The new M5 will take it's cues from the previous M5 models and debut as a "Concept" at the 2011 Geneva autoshow.
Not many know this but BMW gave Journalists a glance at the E39 as a Pre-production concept at the 1997 IAA before being wrapped up for it's official premiere in Geneva in March 2008.

The previous incarnation of the BMW M5 made it's debut as a Concept at the 2004 Geneva Autoshow , driven onto the stage by HJ Stuck. Although placed on a plinth away from curious hands. Exclusive customers were allowed to see another M5 finished in the same Chrome Shadow finish behind the wall at the right hand side of the car.

It's official debut will take place in the second half of 2011 , prior to it's World Premiere at the 2011 IAA in Frankfurt next September ,where European sales will begin simultaneously. US sales begin in the Spring of 2012.

The M5 will be one of three M models debuting throughout the year of 2011.

I don't agree. I happen to love the 220M style and that's why I haven't changed mine.
