F10 M5, Lci Facelift M5 Price Difference?

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Hi, ive been looking to get a used m5 however due the spec im after i may just go for a new one
went to the bmw dealer down the road from me, and what a waste of time the salesman was. spoke to another and he actually mentioned the lci facelift maybe coming just before next year. Which has me thinking, its alot of money so no point buying something that will already be updated in less than a year (as delivery of the new one will be 2 months approx). Secondly the facelifts usually sorts out any kinks on the current gen if any. i know the changes will only be exterior most likely but im pretty content on waiting if it will come out in a year.

but was just wondering if the price of a new m5 base price stays the same even when the lci comes out??
think base currently is around 73k

i live in the uk by the way

In the US BMW raises prices twice a year. I don't know about the UK but common sense would say there will be a price increase.

Also I've been following the LCI threads and the update looks barely noticeable.

From what I have read, I think the LCI would be minor...

But note the following, which I am not sure when would go on production (differs from one market to another):

1. The new generation of BMW professional Navigation System.
2. New generation of iDrive (also call iDrive Touch).
3. The new feature of dictation for iDrive.
4. Making your M5 LTE Hot Spot!!

Good luck

If you're interested in getting a new M5 in the UK then I would move quickly as BMW Finance are throwing fantastic deals around at the moment (0% apr combined with massive discounts). Also there are even better contract hire deals. There are a number of threads on PH about these deals but they will be ending soon. Mine should be arriving in March/ April

I'm sure someone will correct me, but I believe the M5s already have 1. 2 and 3 are a ways out for all BMWs, and haven't even heard of four before, but would love a link to your source.

hi there, yeah the 0% is the reason i was opting for a new one. i was guessing they do 0% every so often in the year, understandably though it still is risky, but the salesman who was good did say in the uk these cars are not exactly flying of the shelves, so its something that does come up from time to time.

All 4 of these were included in the 2013 version. The only add in 2014 is the touch interface. However it is not a new iDrive. IDrive is updated every 4 years and the latest one is the 2013 version.

LTE hotspot is a plug in upgrade using the snap in adapter. It isn't factory but dealer fitted accessory. When released it will be compatible with 2013s too.

I already have dictation.

My source is the link below.

http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=716464

Regarding expected dates of production, I was told it would differ from one market/region to another.

But it would be great if 1, 2, & 3 are already released in your region.

In our market, the ME, I am waiting my dealer to confirm if April production will have them all.

Thanks for the insightful response.

Do you have any idea if the touch featcher can be added later if a person has already the latest generation of iDrive?
