No sir. I sold it to an Acura dealer. My dealer was willing to offer me money but I didnt want to drive two hours. My dealer did everything they could to keep me as a BMW customer and went above and beyond but BMWNA dropped the ball and refused to offer any sort of solution.

Hopefully the wait isnt too long but after reading your info about ED on an Audi not sounding too exciting. My local Audi dealer is verifying release date on the RS7

Failed oil pump
Replaced front left drivers side mirror due to whistling noise. Car went back to service and they couldnt figure out where the issue was and told me its a "bug".
Brakes had to be replaced twice for noise.
Car had to be towed twice for drive-train malfunction error. Dealer couldnt find out what the issue was on this but said it was cylinder misfiring.
Car had to go to dealer for oil every 800 miles. Dealer told me not to fill up the oil myself otherwise it would void the warranty....what a joke...

This is all I could remember....

I miss her already...i didnt want to give the M5 up. I tried to work and collectively come to a resolution with BMWNA but they didnt even want to help. It was considered "acceptable performance" by BMWNA.

Dang dude that's crazy. Hopefully no more issues. I should come over there and give it the GTM blessing.

I don't have an M5 (Mine is 2011 535) but I had this problem after having my ignition coil wiring harness replaced. It is in the dealer for the 3rd time now. First time they said it was a glitch in the computer and they "recalibrated" it. Second time, they said the high pressure fuel pump faulted and they replaced it. Happened again and now I asked that they replace all parts and wiring. I should not have to deal with this problem multiple visits. I doubt they will, but if I get the error again, I am definitely selling the car.

Hey all,

I've had catless Downpipes for 3 weeks now and drivetrain MF is coming on every time I do a few high rpm pulls.

It's driving me crazy.

Going to the dealer this week to try solving it.

If they can't then I'm going for an expensive tune since that may be my only option.

I believe that Simon motorsport in Dubai might be able to help you out with a software flash that can deal with catless DP and remove CEL (check engine light).

I get this when I hit 165 speedo for more then a sec or two. The car cuts the fuel pump for some reason. Throws a DT and gives me half power and a rough ride until restart. Codes show misfires and too much airflow due to the fuel pump cutting out. M-bitious has said its due to a map that can only be removed via real tune.

I am guessing you are having the same problem. I know some Members with BMS that are also having the same issue as me. It's really a null issue for me unless I hang out at max speed for now but long term I would like it fixed.

Dinan thinks my fuel pump needs to be replaced and I am working with my dealer to do so but I think I will end up with the same results due to the map.

I would rather have a CEL on my dash than the damn DR Malfunction popping up and spoiling the run every time. At least i would have access to max power all the time.

I got this error too. Went away after few hundred miles. They did a software reflash but I'm not sure if this resolved the issue or what the root cause was.

That's bad news.

Get in touch with Simon Motorsport, I know that one of his friends has a M5 with a ECU flash that deleted CEL and drivetrain malfunction...

Just spoke with Simon Motorsports. They said to wait for a couple of weeks and they will be able to access the ECU and have stage 1, 2, & possibly 3 tunes that can take care of the DT malfunction issue.

I hope this is not another snake-oil tune mumbo jumbo deal.

There is a lot going on in the Fxx tuning scene now, and several tuners now claim to have access to do a bench flash of the Fxx gen DME/ECU. And several members also claim to have had their cars tuned by software flash.

Here is a F10 M5 from Belgium:

Boss, is this the same guy who claimed 800 HP on M5 months ago?
I just remember at that time we had discussion and I was told that in couple weeks the result will be announced world-wide
I'm not surprised to see some major issues with improper tuning!
